Relatively new implementation. Receiving an error when trying to validate the SAS Content Server on Management Console. Also noticed that the file location path for SAS Folders is not an option when trying to save programs in enterprise Guide. However, I can see the 'Shared Folders' that are created, just can't re-name them or save a program to the specified file path listed in the console.

Sadly this is a common problem, files that are saved inherit the parent folder permission and users need to explicitly change it after creation.

Especially a problem when multiple people run the same process that may overwrite files.

I think we fixed this by manually changing the folders/files using CHMOD commands, which is not the best workaround.

Is the certificate issue the common problem or the file location path not being an option a common problem?

Thanks.

No idea about the certificate issue, just the file sharing issue. I would suggest opening a track with SAS Tech Support since you're a new installation and it may be a matter of settings.

FYI - SAS Studio is an alternative to EG and supports shared code repositories similar to GitHub and you can share those across users. Not sure how that works in EG.
