Whether you are using SAS Enterprise Guide for the first time, or are looking to expand your skills, this is the book for you! With The Little SAS Enterprise Guide Book, updated for SAS Enterprise Guide 7.1, award-winning authors Susan Slaughter (@SJSlaughter) and Lora Delwiche help you quickly become productive in the SAS Enterprise Guide point-and-click environment.

  • The tutorial section of the book walks people through common tasks making it good for people who want step-by-step instructions. Weaving together parallel paths of information for the reader, they will help you master the basics of the tasks you’ll want to do most frequently. The tutorials section contains screen shots, text, and sidebars. In addition, the tutorial section has margin notes briefly listing each action that the reader needs to perform to follow the tutorial.
  • The reference section of the book, with its two page format, presents information in small, easily digestible sections allowing the reader to see at a glance the entire topic. It expands on the tutorial topics, covering specific features in more depth.

It meets the needs of complete beginners and people with more experience and is useful for any introductory statistics or data analysis course that uses SAS Enterprise Guide, or SAS OnDemand with SAS Enterprise Guide as the interface.

Chris,

Thanks for the plug! We are very pleased with how this book has turned out. We streamlined it by taking out some details that we think readers can figure out on their own and focusing more on the general concepts of how EG works. And there is a great new chapter covering the fantastic features EG has for writing SAS programs. This book has been long overdue. We wrote it using EG 7.1, but it also applies to EG 5.1 and 6.1. I'm glad we finally got this book up to date.
