Hello,

I am trying to determine if there is a way to disable certain tasks in a project flow of Enterprise Guide similar to what can be done in Mircrosoft Server Studio Integration Services (SSIS).  I don't want to move tasks out because eventually I will need them.  However, I want to be able to skip past them to the next linked task that needs to be run.  Any suggestions?

A couple of questions:

Are the tasks "EG tasks", or are they SAS code routines?

How do you know that they should be skipped? Just your knowledge, or some kind of indicator?

Thanks @TomKari, good questions.

These are a chain of tasks and code routines within the process flow.  My knowledge is the primary reason these should be skipped but it could also be based on an empty data set that the first query task in the chain is looking at. I just didn't want to add extra code to determine the data set was empty.  I was looking at doing a condition on that task but just didn't want to do all that if I didn't have to.

Hi there. I know that this question was asked a while ago, but perhaps this solution Suspend or disable tasks in EG may provide an answer.
