Hi,

Can we connect Mircrostrategy on top of SAS Enterprise Guide?

Enterprise Guide is a client GUI, so i can't see that happen/a logic approach.

Do you want to access SAS data and/or SAS logic?

If Enterprise Guide connects to a SAS workspace server, it's probably that you want to access.

Yes, I am trying to understand if MicroStrategy can read sas datasets & a connection can be created between SAS & Microstrategy so that once data is run on SAS it generates the results on Microstrategy

Thanks

Yes, it probably can. It may involve extra licensing on the SAS side.

Standard interface would be ODBC, others are possible.

Please describe your SAS platform/licence/topology if you need further assistance.

Hello @Vishy,

I would follow @LinusH suggestions.

Besides, after a 5 seconds search in Google, I found:

https://community.microstrategy.com/t5/Object-Development/Microstrategy-connection-with-SAS-Data-Sou...

You are not the first one with this question. I don't know much about Microstrategy, but there is mostly always a way to integrate one tool with others 🙂

@LinusH - Thanks for your answers. Yes, I have a license for SAS, but not sure if this also includes a feature to integrate with MSTR. I will check that. But I have understood from your points that if we have license from SAS then we can integrate with MSTR.

@JuanS_OCS: Thanks for looking into it & contributing

Regards,

V
