Does someone already used this connector:  SAS Providers for OLE DB

and if so, how is it working to connect to Power BI.

Where do we install this driver on  windows 10 and where.

Could it be possible to provide an example.

You need to install the SAS ODBC drivers first. It is a free download on the SAS website. Start there. SAS ODBC Drivers | SAS Support

Suggest using ODBC vs OleDB. You install the package on the machine with PowerBI. Use a SAS connection string for the driver (see SAS connection strings - ConnectionStrings.com). It depends on your SAS installation and needs. I use the local provider since it allows for direct connection to SAS datasets. Your needs may vary.

OleDB is newer but was a MS standard that was never fully embraced. the industry stayed with ODBC despite its age. JDBC is good but has issues with .NET (hence, a good chunk of the MS ecosystem). ODBC is the safest bet but OleDB may work for you.

If I look at the ODBC connector in power bi, I have to choice to import dBase Files, Excel files or MSaccess data base.

How does it works with SAS dataset ?

Could you please provide an example and / or the steps to get your sas dataset in power bi
