How do I or can I change how the data grid looks? I'm using EG v7.15 now. I remembered the background of the header of column and row used to be brown/orange in EG v5.1. It's all white now in v7.15, which makes it harder for me to visually separate different columns/rows.

Can I change the appearance of data grid?

There is not currently a way to customize the appearance of the EG data grid.  Are you mainly wanting a different background color for just the column and row headers?  Or are you wanting subtle alternating background colors for each row?  Or something else?

In EG 8.1 (coming out later this year), there is a dark theme that might help:

EG 8.1 also picks up Windows High Contrast themes better than previous releases.

Yes I mainly want a different background color for just the column and row headers. However, there're some more I'm not used to.

  1. I'll just repeat this one, different background color for the column and row headers, and clear line separating columns/rows. (If you open a dataset in both v5.1 and v7.1 and put them side by side, you can clearly see the difference.) In v7.1, the line separating columns/rows is almost invisible.
  2. column names are stacked unnecessarily in v7.1. It's very common to see the column names are folded into two lines, despite the name isn't that long, which again makes it harder for me to glance these column names.
  3. Other appearance options for data grid that I want, can mimic the setting in "Program-Editor Options-Appearance", which I'm quite satisfied with.

This is what I can think of for now, with 2 days experience in v7.1.
