Having use EG for some time, i still not very clear about the role of process in EG, i.e. whether the process run in my PC or server (i have remote metaserver connected). Can some please clarify the following for me? those in bracket if my guess.

1. sas code/stored process (server)
2. ad-hoc built-in step e.g. send email to ... as a step, import data from csv to dataset (client)
3. filename statement e.g. ftp, smtp, socket, URL (server, but i find my PC loading is quite high when runnning)

Please shed me some light, thanks in advance!
