Red x appears on the Program icon but no error in log

Hi, I have recently run a project in batch. When I opened the project after it finished running there was  a red x next to the program but when I checked the log there was no error. I do think the project was stopped early somehow because I was running iterations and it did not complete the final iteration. Has this happened to anyone and how do I find the error in the program if it is not in the log?

A lost connection or Abended process not seen anymore by eguide will cause that red cross
No way to get logging back as it was memory based
