I am trying to create a prompt for a date range in GUI.  I have tried using a filter where date equals in the filter with a Prompt Type of date range.  Also, I have tried using a filter with date equals between and having a start_date and an end_date using with a Prompt Type of date .  Neither work.  What I am missing?

Are you sure that the value you're filtering on in the dataset is a date, and not a datetime formatted as a date?

Hi @arjessup ,

Sorry you are having trouble with this!  I'm not sure exactly what the issue might be, but there is a help topic on creating date range prompts that might be worth checking out. You can find it by clicking Help > SAS Enterprise Guide Help from the main toolbar.  Click the Search tab and search for "date range prompt."  The topic is called "Creating a date range prompt."

I hope that helps!

thanks,

Jennifer

Run Proc Contents on your data set and show use the results for the variables Start_date and End_date.
