Hi,

I am having problems with our local SAS server since i deployed EG 8.2.
Some of our users have a german installation, some have a english installation. Whatever they prefer.
Now the problem is, the german version does not recognize "Local" as the local SAS server, the english version does not recognize "Lokal".
This was not a problem before the new release.

Any ideas, what might be the cause and what I can try?
We know, we can switch the server in the projects... but does not make any sense since the problem didnt exist before.

Kind Regards

Daniel

@DanielKaiser  - What are your EG 8.2 language settings, and does it make any difference if you change them? These are the settings in my EG 8.2 in Options - Start up:

Here you can see the "Lokal" server on the left, it is a german installation. The project was saved by a english version.

Hi!

I moved this to the Enterprise Guide community, and I'm calling out @CaseySmith.

I also suggest that you open a track with SAS technical support, as this seems to be changed behavior from version 7 to version 8, and will need action by the EG developers.

Hi @Kurt_Bremser,
thanks for moving. I was not sure if I should choose EG or Admin Board:)

I will open a track and keep this post updated.
But we moved from EG 8.1 to EG 8.2 so it could be something that changed between this two versions.

@SASKiwi I have the same settings (with german). I will try out if it helps to switch it to use the clients settings.

Thanks @SASKiwi this way I was able to reproduce the error.
It does not solve it. So I guess this is really a problem with the new version.

I tried all three options for "Server session locale" - switched language with each. None of them worked, after I changed the language.

Just got a call from tech. support. This problem is known as a bug. A hotfix is in work.
