Possible to increase Log size before it has to be opened with external viewer?

I am using SAS Enterprise guide version 8.3.  

Is there a way to increase the space available for the log to be displayed in SAS before:

and it must be opened with notepad?

Be glad that there is no such option. EG would simply crash when the .NET engine underneath it runs out of resources.

View the log with an external viewer and take corrective measures to reduce the size of the log.

thats what i expected. But I couldn't find any confirmation of it anywhere.
