Since we had an update of our organisation Windows 10 build and a move from Enterprise Guide 7.13 to 7.15 users have noticed the message "Please wait while Windows configures Enterprise Guide" appearing for a few seconds every time they start the application. It does not happen immediately on startup but on the first action such as running code or accessing a library. It is more of an annoyance than a real problem but I was interested if anyone had an idea of why this would happen each time we use Enterprise Guide rather than just on initial install (which I think is when we used to see it).

The two examples you're giving (running code, accessing a library) are both things that will cause EG to initiate a SAS session on the server. It's common for a few seconds to pass while the session is initiated, so I'm not surprised.
The message, however, seems odd. I've never seen the scenario that you're presenting. Maybe someone else will have a thought?

We run exactly the same combination of EG and Windows as you and don't experience this issue. I suggest you open a track with SAS Tech Support.
