Parameterized PDF report filename

Hi,

I'll be having a process flow scheduled to run weekly and then output the eport into a pdf file. Would it be possible to parameterize the filename of the output PDF file?

Hi:

  Normally, when folks talk about parameters, they mean macro variables. If you are using SAS Enterprise Guide, it has a Parameter Manager, which builds macro variables behind the scenes for you to use. In order to use the parameters as pieces of the file name, you may need to edit the code that EG generates. If you are going to edit the code, then you may just want to learn about using SAS Macro variables to do what you want to do. This paper should serve as a good introduction to macro processing from simple parameter usage to the more complex macro program.

  The attached screen shot shows 2 examples of building file names from 3 different macro variables. This is a screen shot of 3 macro variables being created with %LET statements. Then, the macro variables are used in 2 different ways to build file names for output files.
