HI TEAM,

YOUR customer department complies a list of UK addresses ( approx 50) in to XL spreed sheets every day. T he address is held in a single free format field, it always includes the postcode which is always the last item in the field.

Your task is to find out if the company has done any business with anyone at any of these address.

This can be done by using sas code to search the POLICY main file and ACCOUNT EXTRACT file. The search needs to be run over night because the file are ex termly large. ( over 2 millions).records in one case.

The search XL spreed sheet Will always be ready by 4 pm and Ty need have the results by 9 am by following day. The company treads as 5 different brands and there is is POLICY AND ACCOUNT EXTRACT file for each brand. The POLICY AND ACCOUNTS EXTRACT files hold the address in 2 fields. address 1 and post code .

The POLICY file is the production main file and its updated every night. the ACCOUNT EXTRACT is derived data and it is updated every week.

The results need to be access by all members of the customers department (about 30 in all).and it is expected that ty will form a key part of the operational process.

THANKS,
CHANDRA
