Oracle --->> ERROR: Error fetching from cursor. ORACLE error is ORA-01555

Hi Everyone,

i was running a code on SAS eg and there is a section where i need to create a table with about 50M row from the data base.

however i get the following error

ERROR: Error fetching from cursor. ORACLE error is ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number 71 with name
"_SYSSMU71_2782856177$" too smallORA-02063: preceding line from STBDBLNK.

what are your recommendation and what should i understand from this?

Please post your complete SAS log including code, notes and errors. Does your program work for a smaller query?

This is an Oracle error passed back to SAS. I did some Googling and from what I understand this is something you need to talk with your Oracle DBA about if the error persists or if this is a production job where it never should happen. The remedy is most likely something that needs to be done on the Oracle side.
