I'm trying to create a map based on the US Census zip code boundary files. This is based on the steps outlined in this paper: http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings13/214-2013.pdf
I've downloaded the proper map files and gotten to the point where I run this:
proc mapimport datafile="C:/LOCAL_FILE_LOCATION.shp"out=va_zshp;
run;
The program errors out though as it is looking to the "remote" SASAppOA server, rather than my local machine for this file.
Is there a way I can "force" EG to look locally?
I attempted to use the "Upload Data Files to Server" add-in, but it doesn't recognize .SHP
I also can't seem to get import data to work for this either, it doesn't recognize format.
Using EG 6.1 on SAS 9.4
You can use the Copy Files task (a free custom task) to copy the file for you. And here's another source about using MAPIMPORT.
Chris
Thanks for the quick response. I'll give this a shot.
Does the Copy Files task work with enterprise guide 6.1, SAS 9.4?
Yes, it does. It does have "5.1" in the name (I know) but it works with 6.1 as well.
