I love the ability to add links to MS Office documents in SEG projects.  Can't seem to do that for Excel files.  SEG automatically wants to IMPORT them.  Is there a way to change this default behavior permanently or control it on a link-by-link basis?  I'd like to click on an Excel link and have SEG open Excel rather than IMPORT.

Thanks!

Hi Haris,

EG is probably being a little too helpful by assuming you want to automatically import Excel files.  Fortunately, yes, you can turn this off by unchecking the "Automatically import data when added to project" option in EG's Tools->Options->Data->Data General page.

Glad to hear you like the ability to add links to external files in EG projects.
