In SAS EG, I know you can right click and change the background color of the main interface (the view with the grid lines). In the SAS program where you write code, You can go to tools > options > appearance (or something to that effect) and you can pick various items and change colors (i.e, change color of comments, colors of certain syntax etc, font type etc).
However, can I change the background color of the SAS program? I haven't found a way to do that yet?
Thank you! I have searched around for this solution!!! The dark background has saved my eye from eyestrain!!!!
If you choose the High Contrast Scheme under Enhanced Editor Options you can get a black background in EG 7.11. A bit like the Model T Ford. You can have any colour as long as it is black...
I think you need to step through all items and change their font and/or background color.
Then save it as your own scheme.

Hi,
Unfortunately the version of SAS Studio you are using (I am guessing a 3.x version) does not have a feature, like EG's, to change the code editor's appearance. However, it will be coming in a future release.

Sorry about that. I meant to write EG and Studio. It is on the roadmap (for both products) to allow you to change the background color of a program; not just the background color of an element.

For SAS Studio I recommend the following Chrome app:

If you are using Google Chrome. It works very well!

Good news: We've extended SAS Hackathon registration until Sept. 12, so you still have time to be part of our biggest event yet – our five-year anniversary!
