Hi,
There's a difference between building an SQL join inside a SAS Enterprise Guide project and building a SAS Data Integration Studio process or job (in which the process contains an SQL join).

In EG, you might be doing a join for just your own reporting purposes--so the result of a join may only affect you and your report. However, using SAS Data Integration Studio, you could potentially build joins that had an effect on production tables or production data marts. I always recommend that students and programmers exercise caution when using a product that can create, delete and load production tables.

If you are using SAS Data Integration Studio, your best bet might be to talk to the SAS Administrator at your site or to contact SAS Tech Support for help.
