As a fairly new SAS programmer, coming from a .NET development environment, to SAS Base and then to EG 8.1, I'm always looking to tweak EG to look or feel like what I'm used to, ie. Visual Studio.

Is there a way, in EG 8.1 to define how the split between log and code is set? Right now it is a vertical 50/50-split, but I'd like it to be a vertical split but 70/30 when opening any program file. If I need more space I can always drag the log windows to a different screen or widen the log window.

Can it be preset within EG, or can I manipulate WorkspaceLayout.xml in any way to achieve this? Is the XML-definition for WorkspaceLayout.xml available somewhere?

I'm not aware of anyway of doing this. You could raise this as a SASware Ballot idea: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SASware-Ballot-Ideas/idb-p/sas_ideas

Thanks. I might try the ballot.
