How to modify graph axis titles in SAS EG ?

Is there some way to update the column labels (thus the graph labels) without having those changes being applied directly to the data store...kind of like alis labels or axis titles I guess ?

Yes there is.

In your axis statement before proc gchart, type in:
label = ("Axis Title")

Bar chart wizard, screen 3 of 4, there's a button "Axis Labels" to set the axis labels. Alternatively, in the task dialog, set the label under the "Axis" pane for the appropriate axis (horizontal or vertical).

If you're using a different graphing task, I think most of them should have something similar.
