We use SAS EG to create Permanent SAS files that are refreshed and read in Excel using the SAS Addin for Excel. The refreshes are currently done using Windows Task Scheduler. We are not ready to move away from Excel but are looking for a way to refresh Excel unattended - not logged in. The SAS EG code runs while logged off but we cannot get the Excel workbooks to refresh. Has anyone found a way to refresh Excel in Task Scheduler while not logged in? We are running SAS EG 8.6 version and Windows 11. Thank you!
Hi yes thank you for your reply! We tried the scheduler a couple weeks ago. After a few tweaks we got it to run in task scheduler as long as we are logged in. As soon as we actually log out, it does not run. Interesting that it sends the schedule out as Windows 2003 version for some reason. I am currently checking to see if there is an update to the SAS Addin possibly. This method is the closest we have come so far, and it is written in Power Shell which is also a requirement.
