Under SAS/EG 4.1 I can display several datasets simultaneously by right mouse clicking each dataset's tab and choosing [New HorizontaTab]. A child window is opened which can accept other datasets as well. Generally I can have about three or four datasets open in separate child windows.
I do not seem to be able to do this in SAS/EG 4.2. The best I can do is change the Workspace Layout to Stacked, but that seems to be limited to a maximum of two windows at any one time.
Does anyone have a clever trick to overcome this?
Cheers,
Downunder Dave.
Giving this a bump to see if it has ever been answered.
Currently in EG (as of version 6.1) you can still view just two items at time: data sets, programs, ODS results. The development team is aware of the limitation and the desire for more flexibility, but I don't think that there are any changes to share just yet.

Ah, Thanks,

Glad to hear this limitation is recognised and is being actioned - it frustrates me as well. It would be great to be able to have tables / programs / results just on separate tabs like SAS Display Manager, and not restricted into a workspace. This would be a significant productivity improvement.
Would also be interested in EG having a simple data viewer that isn't tied to a Process Flow task. I'm aware of the Data Explorer option but you can't use it with WORK datasets or external tables. This limits its usefulness particularly for developers like myself.
