Hi,

I'm have many Business reports that are pivot based. I want to move the pivot creation in Excel to SAS so that there is no manual effort required. Can anyone please share if this is possible in EG as EG is running on SAS server and MS office is not supported on the server.

Any help in this regards is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Anuj

Anuj,

This technique shared by can help:

http://blogs.sas.com/content/sgf/2015/03/27/using-sas-to-add-pivottables-to-your-excel-workbook/

I tested this method using SAS Enterprise Guide.  Note that technique is a two-step process: create Workbook content with detail data, then create a script (using the TABLEEDITOR tagset) that must be run on a system that has Excel.  You can use EG and SAS to do all of the prep, but the final step would need to be run on a system that has Microsoft Excel installed.
