So you want a footer but not displayed?

If you don't want it, use the following to clear the footnote entirely.

footnote;

Otherwise, you can try the following in your ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP option which will place it in the footer, so not visible when you open the file, but will be included on prints. This should be the default.

embedded_footnotes='No'

Or you can use Hidden_Columns by specifying the range to hide, or set row_heights to a really low value so it appears hidden. Both of those last options require you to know where the footer will end up in the final report.

I can't think of another approach at the moment.

Are you trying to hide the cell, or have it embedded in the footer?
