I accidentally opened an irrelevant dataset while working on a project.  The irrelevant dataset now appears as an icon in my process flow.  Is there anyway to remove that icon?  It is not referenced by any of my programs or tasks.

My question is somewhat related to this post.

To answer my own question:

Deleting a dataset from a process flow does not actually delete the dataset.  It appears that datasets in process flows act as links or shortcuts, not as the objects themselves.  I believe that, if you delete any other kind of object from a process flow, it will actually delete that object.

I confirmed this by doing the following:

1) I created a new project and used that project to create a backup copy of the dataset in question.

2) I went back into my original project and deleted the irrelevant dataset from the process flow.

3) I confirmed that the original dataset still existed, both while looking at the original project and while looking at the new project.
