Export as a step in project not working as expected

Hello,

So I have a project that has multiple steps to get to my final data set.

At the end I want to automatically export the data as part of the process, when I use the export as a step in project, the step does not link to the data and instead puts itself in a different project in the project tree.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Which version of EG are you running?  And could you supply a screen capture of what you're seeing?
