Dear SAS users,

I have installed SAS Enterprise guide 9.4 (university licence) on my Windows parallel desktop. I am trying to use SAS but cannot even mange to save the editor file as file.sas. I get the error "ERROR: Save FAILED". I have tried to fix the problem with this solution (fixing SEguide.exe file)

https://support.sas.com/kb/62/237.html

but it did not work.  Just to note - I can open the programs from same locations where I want to save sas files.

Does anyone has same problem running Enterprise guide on a parallel desktop?

Is there any other other to fix the problem?

Thank you!

Marina

For most practical purposes a Windows on a VM like parallel's desktop is Windows on its own machine. Any application installed on it should work normally.
You have said that you have installed the SAS Enterprise Guide on Windows on parallel. Where is SAS installed? Are you connecting to a remote SAS server?

Hi

I installed SAS in Windows parallel desktop's Program files folder. I do not use server, I try to use locally installed SAS Enterprice but cannot save any file.
