I got an error message saying "Local SAS is required for exporting as a SAS Data File" while trying to export data as .sas7bdat from SAS enterprise guide 4.3. What is this error message about, and how to solve it? Thanks.

It may be a "feature."  Try calling tech support.

This doesn't work. Any other ideas?

If you have just remote SAS (not locally installed), but you want a SAS data set to export to your local drive, try the Download SAS Data Sets from Server task from the Tasks->Data menu.
