Whenever one closes a SAS Enterprise Guide project, there is a status message in the lower left corner that says "Checking if data item k of N is temporary."  If N is large, it can take a fair amount of time before EG closes. We have tried deleting datasets in the "WORK" library, but it doesn't seem to help.

Hi @BrianLoe

I'm not sure which version of SAS Enterprise Guide you are using but there is a way, normally, to stop that behaviour.
From the Tools => Options menu, go to Data => Data General.

If you untick Always prompt when closing a project with temporary data references, it should do the trick.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Damo
