Hi all.
We have a remote desktop with no internet access where we have EG 7.12 installed from depot (no standalone installer). I wold like to update this version to 7.13, and maybe later when eventually available, since with no internet access, the auto update could not be triggered... Is there a way to do this, by downloading some patches or an update package to apply with deployment manager? I've not seen such a possibility on sas hotfix pages... Thanks 🙂

You could always request a download from your SAS representative. If possible go for broke and ask for SAS 9.4M4. This download will update your current depot or you can choose to create a new one. That would provide you with an SAS Enterprise Guide Independent Installer that you can use to perform an update. Basically this follows the same path as your previous install.

Hope this helps,

- Jan.

We have all the client installed on that remote server, while the sas base is on a grid environmente, hence we cannot update all to 9.4M4. But would be nice if one can update just EG. 🙂

Sorry for confusing you. I did not want to suggest to move to M4 for everything right away. Just get the depot while you're at it. You can update EG to 7.13 without touching the other clients or the server side; it will work happily with SAS versions prior to 9.4M4. You can decide later what to do with the rest of your deployment.

Regards,

- Jan.
