I used to have EG 7.1. Recently my computer reinstalled and the SAS automatically upgraded to EG 8.1 which caused my saved EG 7.1 project file either broken or missing. The file used to organize very well, now only displays few loose files. Any idea how to fix it? Is it possible to install v 7.1 back and how can I do it?
Once you have saved an EG project in 8.1 you can't open it in an earlier version of EG as it gets automatically upgraded.
If you wish to go back to EG 7.1 then you will need the 7.1 version of your project. Are there backups available for the drive you are storing this on?
You need the SAS Software Depot where EG 7.1 was installed from. Do you have a SAS administrator who is likely to manage these?
You can have more than one version of EG running on the same computer without any problems.
Thanks. I will contact admin to see if version 7.1 can re-install back.

Interesting. We have installed EG 8.2 recently on computer with EG 7.15 and the older version was not replaced. This happened with both ways of installing Enterprise Guide: using the stand-alone installer and the Deployment Wizard. Unfortunately the default open-action switched to the new version of Enterprise Guide.

What’s the difference between SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio? How are they similar? Just ask SAS’ Danny Modlin.
