Hi
I am learning e-guide on the demand version of e-guide 7.11. I understand that all the processing of data occurs on SAS servers but the software becomes unresponsive quite often for minutes when i click on different tabs or tasks for e.g. even after processing has taken place.
It is making learning E-guide a very slow and frustrating process.
Has anyone faced such problems? Any solutions?
Check for the network latencies to the on-demand server. EG access to the server often seems to happen in many small requests, so a 500ms ping delay can quickly sum up to noticable delays when, say, a hundred individual requests need to be handled.
I often experience noticable delays in opening results when the server is under load (EG 4.3).
Keep in mind that opening a task may also include access to the dataset that EG thinks will be the input for the task.
Thank you, that explanis it
