We just installed SAS 9.4 from 9.3. We are having issues with label names of the datasets created in the Work directory. They are being named as "WORK.DATASET" instead of just "DATASET". This is having an effect on existing programs that are being migrated.
Does anyone know how to fix this? This would help A LOT!
Thank you so much!
What issues are you having? work. is implied for all temporary datasets, whether you name then work.dataset or just dataset shouldn't matter.
If you run this code:
proc datasets library=work details;run; quit;
do the output names of the sets show as work.whatever?
Or is there a label associated with the set?
the names don't show work.whatever.
It would appear then that the dataset names aren't being affected.
When you say
This is having an effect on existing programs that are being migrated.
what type of effects are you actually seeing?
It is creating virtually a separate dataset from the flow when I rerun the program. This only happens when query builder is being used. Not code.
Are you refering to the datasets that the Query Builder creates? They are usually called QUERY_FOR_YourTableName and are stored in the WORK library.
