Hi members,

I have a large dataset with mixed variables namely continuous and categorical.I want to do cluster analysis on these variable and i have only SAS enterprise guide available. Is there any method which is readily available in Enterprise guide?

I also thought of creating dummy variables from the categorical variables however i read that more dummy variables would not give correct clusters.

Please let me know if there is a method in enterprise guide for doing categorical or even mixed clustering?

If not in enterprise guide can you please suggest any other SAS product which does mixed clustering?

Regards,

Rahel.

Google searching on SAS mixed clustering brought up a reference to PROC MIXED.

Don't forget, you're not restricted to the Enterprise Guide tasks. You can use any of the SAS facilities that you're licensed for by writing SAS code in a code window.
