Hi Team,

I am new to Cluster Analysis in SAS Enterprise Guide. Could anyone please share the steps to perform on data containing one dependent variable GPA and independent variables - Q1 to Q10. I want to understand how the variables Q1 to Q10 will be clustered into 3 groups (k=3) based on the GPA. To which Task roles does the variables be assigned.

Thank you.

Are you sure that you want to do a cluster analysis? It doesn't have independent and dependent variables. Brief descriptions of it, and related procs, can be found at: https://support.sas.com/rnd/app/stat/procedures/ClusterAnalysis.html#cluster

Hi,

My bad, I edited the description. As mentioned now, I want to cluster the questions into 3 groups based on the GPA. In Enterprise Guide, what needs to be done in the provided screenshot of the cluster dialog.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Singh

Drop Q1-Q10 into the analysis variables, that's it. Are you sure you want clustering? If you have GPA maybe you want discrimination analysis or proc PLS?
