I am struggling with EG3 and creating queries on some tables.

I am sometimes getting the error "Cannot create a query on ....". I am pulling data in via ODBC from SQL Server. I cannot yet isolate the problem.

There are several tables that work OK, but a composite table of the same data where I aggregate several locations together does not work.

The problem doesn't seem to be size, I have tried subsets to no avail.

Where do I look to find the problem?

Thanks!!!!

Need a little more information.

The composite table, is it a view in SQL Server? or is it an EG query that is joining a bunch of tables?

It is a table in SQL Server. I wanted to do the aggregation work at the backend rather than at the front in EG.

When I try views, I get an error that EG cannot connect.

Thanks!

Does not work means what?

Is the schema with the aggregated data different from the source data?

Does not work means that EG throws the error "Cannot create query on 'tablename'"

The data is the same, with the exception of some calculated columns. But EG is pulling a table from SQL Server, not a view. I have tried removing the additional columns, but still get the same error.

I executed a data transformation procedure to convert the view to a table.
