Cancel a long-running task

I would like to set a timeout for running a task in SAS Guide.
If the task takes too long to complete, it would be canceled and the next task performed.

AFAIK, there is no such feature built into EG. What is your long-running task doing? If you switched these long-running tasks to running in batch mode you would have more control. Depending on your scheduler you should be able to set a time limit on individual jobs.
