I installed SAS 9.2 and EG 4.2 successfully on my laptop with windows 7 (Home Edition), 32-bit, but I can't start EG 4.2. each time it gives me an error:
"SAS EG has encountered a problem. We recommend that you save your work and restart SAS EG"

Clicking on show details gives:

"System.IO.FileNotFoundException
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Services3, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

What should I do to rectify the problem? I am not connecting to any servers, am running everything on the laptop.

Thanks in advance

This is probably worth a call to tech support. Start with the people at WU.

I suspect that your system does not meet the minimum requirements for SAS. SAS 9.2 TS2M0 and TS2M1 are not supported on Windows 7, and TS2M2 requires Windows 7 Home Premium.

@SASKiwi, thanks so much for the note, problem sorted. I had tried searching SAS support for almost a month but I missed this .

Grace, just so you know how I found it I searched on:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException

and it was about the 5th listed note. You can use the exact text of a SAS error to locate relevant notes.
