Hi!

 

I need to calculate an acumlative variable using the data in the table. 

 

In the example posted the variable I need to calculate is "Valor acumulado". This variable is in the first row the value of the column "Valor" and in the next cases is the calculated column plus the value in "Valor". How do I calculate this column?

Assuming (as in your example) you have no by-groups then this should be enough for your purposes

 

data have;
	infile datalines dlm=",";
	input indicador valor;
	datalines;
1,25
2,25
3,50
;
run;

data want;
	set have;
	if _n_=1 then valor_acumulado=valor;
	else valor_acumulado=valor_acumulado+valor;	
	retain valor_acumulado;
run;
