In most (all?) SAS interfaces, you got to the FILE menu and select SAVE

Hi @skchinta,

Echoing what @PaigeMiller has said, you might also want to consider selecting File > Save as (if available), which might give you the option to set the file type in a drop down list at the bottom of the dialogue box to ".sas".

Kind regards,

Amir.

More details please.

Please explain exactly what you're trying to save, is it the program, the output, the log, something else?
How are you trying to save it? Are you right clicking the file, File>Save As?

Show screen shots of the error message or what is happening with the files.

Providing more details is the only way we can help you. Please make some time to adequately explain your problems.

What happens if you open the file by right clicking it and opening it in with notepad?
Or if you open it from EG?

If you're double clicking the file and it opens in Adobe or another PDF viewer it may be just that your computer has the .sas extension erroneously mapped to a different application.
