Hi,

 

please help me to understande below piece of code.

 

1. proc datasets lib = out nolist;

delete &PgmPrefix._Table1_new;

delete &PgmPrefix._Table2_new;

Run;

 

2.create table &PassThroughTableName. AS

select * from CONNECTION to SQLServerDatabase

The first segment deletes datasets from library "out". The macro variable "pgmprefix" holds the prefix for the dataset names.

The second is obviously part of a proc sql; it creates a SAS table from a connection to an external RDBMS (the necessary specifics for the remote table are missing).
