monitoring model performance

Hello,

My question is not purely technical.

In fact, I deployed a scoring model, and now I need to monitor its performance to see if it's efficient, and especially detect when it needs to be updated. 

I think building a test sample with the previous targeting method may be a good idea. 

Is there any papers, methods or ideas of the post-deployment stage.
