%dmnormip (EM)

Hello,

Sas Miner uses %dmnormip and shortens the fields to 32 characters.

As a result, if there is a text field (char) that has a string longer than 32 characters, it is truncated.

Can it be changed so that it has more than 32 characters or is it a fixed value?

Hello,

It's not the field (variable / column) that is shortened. It's the name of the field.

And it's an internal thing (for smooth and fast processing of score code).

At the end of processing, everything is mapped back to the actual variable names.

Why would you want to change that?
