Hi,   When I run a StatExplore Node, I see that there is a window for "Variable Worth". Someone please explain to me how this portion of information is calculated. Are there any formulas that are sitting at the back to calculate this window.

I am basically needing this information to gain better knowledge on SAS Eminer Outpus. What those windows explain and how can they contribute for our understanding.

  Kindly revert

Thank you,

Prajna

Hello Prajna_450:

The StatExplore node chapter does not tell the formula.  Instead, the chapter advises you to see Variable Importance in the Help for the Decision Tree node for details on how a variable's worth (importance) is computed.  Details are given there.

Have a great day.

Hi Mike,

Decision tree split search is also based on maximum logworth. Then, why do I see different order in Variable Worth (in Segment profile node) vs Variable importance (in decision tree node)?

Could you please explain this difference?

Thank you,

Prajna
