Hi,

I am new to SAD and Analytics. I am thinking of joining a course in Analytics. However, I am very weak in Mathematics and Statistics. So, will it be a problem? Do I need to study Mathematics to understand SAS and get into it?

I also want to know how SAS / Analytics can help me grow in my career from the point of income gneration and also chances to rise at a higher position. I am already good in SQL, RDBMS, Excel, Access, VBA, and PHP, and MySQL programming.

However my current work role is related to UNIX / Linux Application Support tasks.

Thanks,
Dev.

Hi,

Depending on your definition of weak, it may or may not be a problem.

To understand SAS, you need more of data mining knowledge than mathematics. Mathematics will accelerate your learning but not necessary as the key step.

Well, SAS will make you an analyst and part of the growing trend of analytics adoption which will provide you with ample opportunities in many sectors.

Regards,
Murphy
