Hi,
I have a SAS file (type=SAS data set) in my E drive. How can i import it into SAS to read it. I know clicking on it with open the file in viewtable, but i want to import the file in sas and use proc contents.
How do i go about it? What things/questions am i supposed to ask or am required to know in such a situation?
It is quite urgent! Many thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Mrinal
No need to import it. all you need to do is assign a library.
Check out programming 1 and statistics 1 on SAS U resources. SAS Analytics U | SAS
Example code for your question
libname mrina "E:\";
proc contents data=mrina.name_of_dataset;
run;
proc univariate data=mrina.name_of_dataset;
run;
Good luck!

Good news: We've extended SAS Hackathon registration until Sept. 12, so you still have time to be part of our biggest event yet – our five-year anniversary!
