Hi SAS communities,

I have a dataset that has a column that is defined as a numeric column, but I want it to be defined as character column instead. However, I don't want to create a new dataset that is a fixed version of the previous dataset. Is it possible to write a SAS code within SAS EM so that EM creates a temporary fixed dataset every time the process flow is run?

Thanks!

Any conversions and changes to input variables are included as part of the scoring process so yes this is possible within the nodes. Why does it matter if it's character or numeric though? If the role is set correctly and the variable is numeric SAS handles it correctly AFAIK.
