Explore Variables Sample

Hi,
Does anyone know the answer to the following:

In Enterprise Miner you have a dataset and you simply want to explore the variables via the Variables Properties then the Explore button.
EM takes a sample with a maximum size of 10,000. Is this sample random or does it take the first 10,000 obs from the dataset?

You have the option of random or top. The number of rows is inversely proportional to the row width, and you have the option of small or large. The default values are top and small, for speed.

Use the graph explore node to generate a persistent stratified sample and persistant graphs.
