Hello!

In sas vta the category node classifies docs to the levels of the category variable set by the user. This is done by rules that contain tokens and operators. How are these rules created? What is the technique used? Is it similar to ml classification? Why this node exists since we can do ml based classification with inputs the svd values of the topic node?

Thanks in advance,

Andreas

IN SAS VTA, topic extraction is based on Unsupervised learning where a target is not defined. Where as in category modeling the category levels are your nominal target variable and the classification is performed using Boolean category rules generated by the system
